Hunter Douglas introduces their latest line of Privacy Sheers. Similar to Luminette® Privacy Sheers, this vertically oriented product dresses large window walls with ease. Park Lane is for outside (on the wall) mounts, not for inside mounts due to gaps on the sides for inside mounts that results from the Park Lane headrail system. It tilts for privacy and stacks back, when you desire a clear window. The sheer facings provide a view to the outside and with a quick twist of the wand you have privacy. Room darkening vanes are available, as is an optional valance for the headrail. Savings over Luminette® is about 25%. Park Lane™ Privacy Sheers used the Paramount vertical headrail and fabric that is less costly than Luminette® to provide these savings. Other features of Luminette® including split stack, inside mounts, motorization and additional fabric choices are reserved for owners of Luminette®.

Now available: MOTORIZED shutters. A hard wired, motorized tilt shutter is available. A significant budget is required for these precision systems.
PRICING: To add motorization to a roller or roman shade will run about $520 for a unit run by a wall switch. Radio remote controlled systems, Somfy Altus system, which include the radio receiver built into the roller tube motor are about $731 per shade. The advantage of this system is that the motor simply plugs into the wall without having to run a special wire to a wall switch. We can help guide you through all the many possibilities.
Hunter Douglas has just added Platinum™ Technology to its motorization line up, both battery systems and hard wired. This system puts infrared (IR) and Radio Frequency (RF) into one system. IR needs to be pointed at the receiver. RF can operate shades from a different room! IR and RF in one remote! There are also many options for group programming that can be changed by the owner after installation.
Most existing Hunter Douglas PowerRise IR systems can be upgraded to RF Platinum Technology by plugging in a new satellite receiver eye and buying at least 1 remote control. This upgrade is very desirable for systems that have a hard time receiving IR signals in bright sunlight. A homeowner can do this upgrade.
