The first photo uses Thermoveil fabric styled into a drapery.  Thermoveil is a sunscreen material.  This customer selected a 5% open weave, which cuts the hot west sun, while preserving spectacular city views.  Motorization is available for this type of application.  Matching roman shades were made for the adjacent bedroom.
